Braided Up
The braid is a love language. Someone spent time on this — careful hands, careful love. This piece looks over the shoulder of a figure, head bowed, long black braids sweeping down against a teal sky. A traditional textile crosses the lower frame: diamonds, stripes, pink and yellow and green and brick red. The sun watches from the upper left. A quiet moment of preparation — of being made ready.
