Dawn Eagle

When I painted this I had a vision of a warrior standing at the edge of the world, watching the sun come up. The morning light catches an eagle in flight above, and also the feathers atop the warrior's head. At dawn it's hard to tell who's watching who. This is what it feels like to belong to a land. To know it's still yours.
