God Gave Us This Land

They brought the cross and called it salvation. They brought the mission and called it civilization. Underneath it all — underneath the church, underneath the doctrine, underneath the claim that God ordained what was done — are the bones of millions. The church was not separate from colonization. It was the engine of it. This piece doesn't look away from that.
