Native Festival

Growing up in Central America, there were lots and lots of festivals, year round. Most of them were strictly Catholic, but in almost all of them were super bright spots of indigeneity. A symbol there, a food there. Drums, feathers. It was a reminder to everyone present: we're still here and we're gonna dance.
