Soaring Thunderbird

The Thunderbird shows up across dozens of Native traditions — Pacific Northwest to the Great Plains, coast to coast — which tells you something about the sky and what people saw in it. This isn't a ceremony piece. It's not asking for anything. It's just a Thunderbird doing what Thunderbirds do: flying at a scale that makes everything below it feel small and lucky to be alive.
