Thirteen Moon Turtle
Thirteen moons, thirteen plates on the turtle's back, ringed by 28 on the edge. 13x28 = 364 + a holy day. The lunar calendar lives in the animal. I've been sitting with this knowledge for years and this piece is my way of honoring it — the turtle carries time and memory.
