Encroachment

I made this during a stretch where I painted thirty landscapes in a row. By number twelve I was bored silly with making hyper-realistic mountains, so I went somewhere rawer. The red tide approaching the tipis is fire, or blood — you decide. The US flag is colonization. And the red comes from the east, because of course it does.
